OT DRAMA IN EXHIBITION WEEKEND!

Listen up, you hockey fans! Let me tell ya, we had some rock 'em, sock 'em action in the MHL this past weekend! Hold the phone! Two exhibition series goin' on! We had the Bozeman Stingers loadin' up the bus and headin' west to Idaho to take on the Sun Valley Suns, and then you got the Mansfield Barracudas in Texas hostin' the fellas from the Israel Elite! Let's get right into it!

Game One: The Blowout and the Barnburner!

Sun Valley Suns 10 - Bozeman Stingers 2

Holy smokes! What a shellacking! The Suns, they came out like gangbusters, boys! This is how you start a season! Dominating their Montana neighbours! And you gotta talk about Joey Sides! The vet was… flyin'! A 3+1 night! That's four points! Unreal! The Suns put up five unanswered goals in the second period! That's just too much jam for the Stingers. Even though the Stingers got the first goal from Luke Marsh… the Suns just took over. You gotta be tougher than that, Bozeman! Better luck next time! 

Mansfield Barracudas 5 - Israel Elite 6 (OT)

Now THIS was a hockey game, boys! Action-packed! The Israel Elite, they came out hard and fast! A real tilt in the Lone Star State! I'm talkin' about roughing, fighting, a real fan favourite! The Elite, they showed some guts, and they found a way to steal the points in overtime! Courtesy of Nathan Butler! He tucked that crucial goal away! He got 'er done! The Barracudas gotta be lookin' in the mirror after that one!

Game Two: Redemption and a Sweep!

Sun Valley Suns 6 - Bozeman Stingers 5 (OT)

You see, this is what I'm talkin' about! The Stingers, they didn't pack it in! They came back much stronger! They jumped out to a two-zip lead with goals from Ben Henne and Cooper Johnson! That's the way to do it! But wouldn't you know it, that Joey Sides, the MVP, he cuts the lead to one! That kid is a difference-maker! But the real story here? The goaltender, Chris Slater for the Stingers! He was standing on his head, facing double the shots off his counterpart! He gave 'em a chance to win, boys! He was gutsy! But you can only take so much rubber, and wouldn't you know it, the Suns' 53rd shot of the night! Who else but Joey Sides! He cleans up his ninth point of the weekend and gets the sweep for the Suns! What a performance! Give your head a shake, Bozeman! Onto the next one!

Mansfield Barracudas 10 - Israel Elite 4

Oh, those Barracudas were ticked off after the first night, you betcha! they said, "Not on our turf!" They came out with a whole different attitude! Ten goals! That's right, ten! They refused to play not their own way, and they absolutely lit the lamp against the Elite! A big win to take one point for the exhibition series! That's how you do it! That one point for an exhibtition win for the Cudas’ helps them the standings, presented by Bladetech! Now they're off to face the Breckenridge Vipers in Colorado! Get the lumber ready, boys!
