Breckenridge v Steamboat Recap

Alright folks, Don Lemon here, and let me tell you, the Breck Vipers just absolutely owned the Steamboat Vigilantes this weekend. It wasn't just a win, it was a statement. A shout! A "We're here and we're not messin' around!" kind of weekend.

Friday night, February 21st, it was a ten-goal demolition. 10-zip, folks. A goose egg. The Vigilantes looked like they'd skied down the mountain on one ski. Alec Ascenio and Garret Bailey were playin' like they had magnets on their sticks, each notchin' two goals and two assists. And JR Englebert? Stone. Cold. Shutout. Nothin' got past him. The Steamboat offense looked like they were playin' in a phone booth.

Then, Saturday night, February 22nd, did the Vipers let up? Not a chance. They came back hungry for more, and even though they didn't hit double digits again, they still put nine past the Vigilantes. 9-2 the final. Eli Kendall joined the party with two goals and two assists of his own. And Englebert? Back at it again, folks. Maybe not a shutout this time, but a .935 save percentage? That's Vezina-worthy, baby!

So, the Vipers sweep the series, makin' it a 12-4 record on the season. They're lookin' mean, they're lookin' lean, and they're lookin' ready for their upcoming showdown against the Vail Yeti. Now that's gonna be a series to watch, folks. Mark your calendars!
