BARRACUDAS IMPRESS ON HALLOWEEN WEEKEND!
MOUNTAIN HOCKEY WEEKLY RECAP
Alright, folks, let me tell ya — Halloween weekend in Mansfield, A guaranteed spooky series! Only one series on the docket, but it had everything. Costumes, candy, and a couple of teams lookin’ to scare up their first official league wins of the season! You had the hometown Barracudas, comin’ off a couple exhibition wins — feelin’ pretty good about themselves — and the Sin City Kings, who just got swept down in San Diego and were lookin’ for redemption.
FRIDAY NIGHT – GOALIES GALORE!
Now listen, kids — Friday night was a dandy. Both teams came out flyin’! A goal apiece every period, and we’re headin’ into the third with the score dead even. The Kings’ goalie, Derek Cox — and I gotta say, this kid was unreal — he’s standin’ on his head, stopping shots left and right! But you can only take so much, folks. Mansfield poured it on — four unanswered in the third! That’s what good teams do — they finish! Final score: 6-2 Barracudas, and the barn was rockin’!
SATURDAY NIGHT – NO LUCK LEFT FOR THE KINGS
Now Saturday, hoo boy — it was all Mansfield. Whatever good fortune Sin City had Friday night, it packed its bags and hit the slots! Six unanswered — six! — and that one ended 11-1. You don’t see scorelines like that too often, folks. The Barracudas looked like they not playing around this season!
And you gotta give it to the vets — these old boys still know how to get it done. Tim Hoffenkaup, eight points on the weekend (4+4). And his linemate Michael Tatum, seven points (1+6). That’s leadership! That’s experience! That’s what you want from your top guys — lead by example!
WHAT’S NEXT
Now next week, we’re back at it — and it’s gonna be a beauty. The Bozeman Stingers are finally hittin’ the ice, headin’ to Reno to face off with the Ice Raiders. Both teams got talent, got grit, got experience — this one’s gonna be a real humdinger.
See ya back here for more Mountain Hockey action!
